Resources & Helpful Stuff

Sadgrl.online: Great webmaster with tons of useful links, and a huge reason I finally got back into building my Neocities site. Most of the helpful links I use are listed on her Webmaster Links page, but I'll still list the ones I used the most here.

WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool: Enter in any url and this tool will scan the site for accessibility issues and make suggestions for improvement. I've used it to improve the contrast in my themes!

32bit.cafe's Guide to Interacting on the Web:A very helpful guide for how to interact with other personal websites, one that I regularly reference! It's very reassuring to read, and also helpful if you're not very familiar with the personal web scene, and are new to terms like clique and webrings (like I was). The 32bit.cafe community has been a joy to be a part of.

Pixels, graphics, layouts

Peachie's Collection: A really cute site for lots of pixels and graphics that I used to frequent back in like, 2012, that is unfortunately offline now but thankfully archived. I remember doing "fan art" of some sort of one of the cute sheep pixels, and the owner of the website actually commented on it, which was really sweet! Their (inactive) DA account can also be found here.

Lovely Designs: A very nice, oldschool site from 2003 offering lots of free-to-use layouts, code, and graphics.

Cool Links to Cool Stuff

JSPaint: Completely in-browser and mobile friendly clone of classic MS Paint, with some QOL improvements and accessibility features.

Pigment: Super cool color palette generator!

Dither Me This: Really cool tool for turning images into dithered, pixelated, or otherwise retro-style pictures with many presets modeled after different technologies and aesthetics. I used it for the Dark Stars theme banner! I also think the interface is neat.

Blips.club: A site emulating 2007 Twitter with none of the garbage of today (you can follow me here)
